Results of the survey

In our last survey we asked your opinion what new features you await from the BreakingNewsMap site.

Here are the results:

Some of the "custom" suggestions (the other option) were:

  • Less US news, more world news
  • wish I could click on any country and get their breaking news
  • more intenational news asian news south american news africa news
  • more speed controls ... divide it to 8 speeds instead of 4
  • internationalization (more languages)

So it was obviously for us to define the next development goals as follows: more news sources, more non-US content, news in other than English languages.

Thanks for your feedback!

Great feedback

We are really happy about the feedback to the Breaking news map site. Here are some quotes:

googlemapsmania.blogspot.com:

The map animates between different geo-tagged news items, which means you can just choose what area of news you wish to read and just sit back and watch.

startupmeme.com:

List of available features makes it all more interesting and unique.

geeksugar.com:

So when I found the Breaking News Map, that shows you visually where the bits of news are coming from across the globe, I was happily relieved. Now I can just sit back, take a tour of the world, and be in the know about what the big headlines are.

The best laudation we've got was that from Jeff Freeman:

I love this. Breaking News Map. I wish that was a cable news channel.
